  2. Is dog food labeled “Large Breed Adult dog food a gimmick? I think you said it matters for puppy food, but not for Adults? Could you clarify? Thank you.

  4. This food (albeit chicken and rice, but the macro nutrients are identical) was recommended to us for our greyhound puppy by the breeder. Interestingly, because greyhounds mature slowly and are very active (especially if participating in K9 sports like Fast CAT, lure coursing, etc), they actually recommended keeping on the puppy food past the 12 month mark.

  5. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into educating us for our pups!! Quick question please. we have a 9 month old golden. his first 5 months he was getting Fromm from the breeder. being ignorant we fed him origin adult food for 2-3 months and he got mucus covered diarrhea bad and we took to vet. he said it was a stomach/dietary issue. He recommended purina pro plan for puppies and we have been feeding him that for a few weeks now. the stools are back to normal but I don’t know if it is from the probiotics and antibiotics he prescribed or the switch in food. time will tell. my question is you seem to like both purina pro plan for large puppies (our is already 75+ lbs) as well as science diet. would you recommend us switching to hills gradually or just stay with purina or any other? I also thought maybe keeping him on puppy food till spring (18 months) to maybe help mitigate any damage we might have done with the adult food he had for a few months. Thoughts? Thank you and any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
